13 perished, 30 injured in road mishap

MINGORA, Dec 05 : At least thirteen people died and nearly 30 other sustained injuries as a flying coach fell into deep ravine here in Malam Jabba area on Sunday.

According to details, a flying coach was taking the wedding party to its destination that it went out of control while taking a sharp turn in Malam Jabba area of and fell down in the deep gorge.

As a result of the incident, thirteen people including eight females, two male and three children lost their lives and over thirty others were injured.

Immediately after the accident, rescue teams and locals dashed to the site and started relief and rescue operation.

They started shifting the injured and dead bodies to the Saidu Sharif Hospital where five injured people were stated to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the Governor and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while expressing their profound grief and sorrow over the tragic incident, directed the local administration to utilize all the resources for providing treatment to the injured people.

They also condoled with the heirs of those families whose near and dear ones lost their lives in the incident.
