PML N & Q agree to jointly nominate members for Parliamentary Commission

ISLAMABAD, Nov. 3 : Two main factions of Pakistan Muslim League N & Q appear to be inching towards understanding and cooperation on critical issues as they have agreed to nominate each others members in the National Assembly and Senate for the Parliamentary Commission.

A close confidant of PML-N Quaid, Ishaq Dar met PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Wednesday and discussed cooperation between the two parties for nominations for the Commission. Both the leaders agreed in principle that the PML-Q will nominate one member of PML-N from the Senate and in return the PML-N will nominate one member of the PML-Q to the Commission.

Leader of the opposition in the Senate Mr Wasim Sajjad was also present during the meeting. According to sources Ishaque Dar conveyed the message of Ch Nisar Ali Khan to Ch Shujaat Hussain for joint nominations by the two leagues to the Parliamentary Commission.

Sources said that during the meeting between Ch Shujaat Hussain and Senator Ishaq Dar overall political situation in the country came under review.Ishaq Dar expressed his reservations over meeting between Ch Pervez Elahi and Babar Awan, which gave the impression that the two parties were considering to cooperate in the Parliament and outside.

Ch Shujaat Hussain told the key aid of Mian Nawaz Sharif that cooperation between the two parties could move ahead if the PML-N leaders scale down their aggressive statements against his party.

Political analysts are giving great importance to the Shujaat-Dar meeting which took place after Babar-Pervez Elahi meeting.
