Dictatorship not to be imposed on Pakistan till Day of Judgment: Awan

LAHORE, Nov 30: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan on Tuesday said that dictatorship will never be imposed in Pakistan till the Day of Judgment and said that PPP was the only popular party which could run the federation in a befitting manner.

Addressing a public gathering at Al-Hamrah Hall in Lahore celebrating the 44th founding day of PPP, Babar Awan said that PML-N leadership says that if ruling party did not re-visit its policies then PML-N will not remain a silent spectator any more adding "we warned if Punjab government did not put itself on the right path then we will not bear them in future".

"Some one million workers of PPP have been arrested and over 5,000 offered sacrifices", he said and added "these sacrifices would obstruct the way of dictatorship in Pakistan in future," Babar Awan said that PPP came to power with popular mandate and everyone should respect the elected government.

Law minister ruled out mid-term elections or any major change in the political scenario in near future, adding that only constitutional change could be brought only through constitutional way. He said those hatching conspiracies against the government should not waste their time because the present government will definitely complete its tenure.

He further added that corruption will not be endured in future and those involved in plundering masses will be showered with arrows.
