KARACHI: The remains of Dr Imran Farooq in a cavalcade carried to his residence in Shareefabad here on Saturday. The remains of Dr Imran will later be taken to Nine Zero.PIA flight PK-788 carrying dead body of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Imran Farooq landed at Karachi airport at 10:15 am today. Shumaila Imran,the widow of MQM slain leader, his two children, parents, other family members, deputy convenor MQM Rabita Committee Dr. Farooq Sattar, members Raza Haroon and Wasay Jalil also arrived with the body of Dr Imran Farooq.Stringent security measures were taken at the airport.A large number of leaders and workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement were present at the airport. The funeral prayers of Dr. Imran Farooq will be observed at Jinnah Ground after Zohar prayers today. Dr Imran will be laid to rest at the Martyrs Graveyard in Azizabad. Maulana Asad Thanvi will lead funeral prayers of the deceased leader of MQM.
