IOF troops round up son of recently released physics professor

NABLUS, - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday detained in Nablus city Huzaifa Al-Ashqar, 21, the engineering student and son of physics professor Essam Al-Ashqar who was recently released from Israeli jails.

Mother of the detainee told the international Tadamun (solidarity) institution that a large number of IOF troops stormed their home at dawn and confiscated a computer and college papers.

She added that the soldiers then sat with all of her sons separately and questioned them before taking away Huzaifa blindfolded and handcuffed.

The IOF released Essam Al-Ashqar two weeks ago after 17 months in administrative detention, without trial or charge.

The IOF soldiers also rounded up four other Palestinians in Nablus city including a former detainee after storming the city backed by special forces and reconnaissance planes.
