IOF warplanes blast Gaza tunnels

RAFAH, (PIC)-- Israeli F-16 warplanes blasted tunnels in Rafah, in the southernmost tip of the Gaza Strip, along the Egyptian-Palestinian borders at dawn Monday, security sources reported.

They told the PIC reporter that the warplanes fired at least two missiles targeting two tunnels in Salam suburb east of Rafah and a third targeting a deserted tunnel west of the city without inflicting casualties.

The sources said that the warplanes returned later and raided empty land near the electricity generation station in Nusseirat in central Gaza.

A spokesman for the Israeli occupation forces claimed that the raids were in reprisal to the firing of rockets and mortar rounds at the western Negev late last week.
