Two killed, two injured in target killing

KARACHI, May 19: At least two people were killed and two others were injured here on Wednesday. The incidents were reported to be target killings.

After a calm of a few weeks, the brazen target killings returned to this financial backbone of the country, when gunmen opened fire at two young boys Bilal and Aamir at Shama Shopping Centre, inflicting serious injuries to both of them.

Police arriving at the scene shifted the injured to Jinnah Hospital , where Aamir, 20, succumbed to his injuries, while Bilal is said to be in critical condition.

In another incident, Moiz, 19, was shot to death, while another Ali Asghar was injured when gunmen opened fire at them near Natha Bridge in Shah Faisl Colony No. 4.

The dead body and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital .

Meanwhile, unidentified armed men traded fire in the same area, which caused no casualties but spread panic in the area and all the shops and business were closed down.
On the reports of firing, police and Rangers contingents arrived at the scene and cordoned of the area, after which the situation claimed down.

Police said it was investigating the incident, but no arrests were made in this connection.
