QUETTA, May 11 : A truck driver was killed and another person was injured as unidentified assailants opened fire at a trucks convoy carrying coal to Punjab in Rakhni area here on Tuesday.
According to police, gunmen opened fire at a coal laden Punjab bound trucks convoy in Rakhni area of Quetta , killing a truck driver and injuring another person.
Truck driver identified as Saleem Kakar was killed on the spot, while another person whose identity has not been confirmed received minor injuries.
The deceased was stated to be resident of Nawan Kaley area of Quetta .
The dead body and the injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
A case has been registered against unidentified assailants in concerned police station and investigations were underway.
