ISLAMABAD: U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Richard Holbrooke telephoned Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Thursday, a Foreign Office statement said.Holbrooke briefed the Foreign Minister on the recent visit by Afghan President Hamid Karzai to the U.S. The briefing was given at the instructions of the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the statement added.
