The Report submitted by the JIT listed 34 persons whose statements were recorded by the team but the names of the two Ministers are surprisingly missing from the list.

Among the prominent persons who appeared before the team included Makhdoom Amin Faheen, Naheed Khan, Senator Safdr Abbasi, Syed Kamal Shah, former Secretary Interior, Khusro Pervaiz Khan, Ex-secretary Home, Punjab, Syed Asghar Raza Zaidi, then Joint Director General, IB, Islamabad, Maj® Imtiaz Hussain, then SSP Security for Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Yasin Farooq, then SSP(Operation) Rawalpindi, Khurram Shahzad, then SP Rawal Town, Rawalpindi.

According to the document available with this Agency, the JIT said it is examining the failure of the then Federal and Punjab Governments to provide appropriate level of security to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto during election campaign and their failure to take action against delinquent officers for negligence in official duty.
