Dr. Qadeer’s chapter is closed: FO

ISLAMABAD, Mar 15 : Pakistan has reiterated that the security of its nuclear programme is foolproof and brushed aside the allegations levelled against Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan as baseless.
Responding to the allegations levelled against the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan by an American magazine, Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Bassit said Dr. Khan’s chapter is closed.
The spokesperson said that such allegations were levelled by a specific section of media for specific purposes.
Government of Pakistan had banned Dr AQ Khan network timely and now the story of Dr AQ khan network is only part of history, Abdul Bassit said.
He said that Pakistan is committed regarding nuclear deterrence.
