MINGORA: Casualties have been feared in a blast rocked downtown Mingora, the chief town of Swat, here Monday.
The blast occurred near Mingora Police Station at Nishat Chowk area that was also followed by intense firing. It was not clear whether the forces opened the firing.
At least two people have been killed in the attack, preliminary reports said.
Heavy contingents of police and other law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area while the markets in the city have also been shut following the blast heard throughout the city.
