LAHORE, Feb 12: Lahore Local government has announced that the ban on kite flying is still intact.
DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta said that kite flying would not be allowed even at the Governor House.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, DCO Lahore said that government would ensure the ban on kites flying, adding that on body would be allowed for flying the kites, if any one would violate the ban, government would take strict action against him and about Rs.100,000 would be fined for violators of ban. Selling and purchasing of the kites had been also complete banned, he added.
He said that people use metal twine which killed innocent kids during kite flying.
Meanwhile, PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badar has said that the ban was not on Basant but on the use metal twine , however, he added that he would respect the court’s decision instead of that of Governor Punjab.
He noted that everybody should get justice and none should be above law.
