QUETTA, Jan 08 : As many as two policemen were gunned down at Asphani Road in Kaley Arbaban area as target killing continues in Quetta .
According to police two police personnel identified as Abdul Salam and Abdul Rehman were on their way to home after performing their duty when some unidentified miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at them at Asphani Road in Kaley Arbaban area killing both on the spot.
The murderers dumped the bodies in nearby fields and fled away from the scene after committing dual murder.
Early morning farmers informed the police about presence of bodies of two police personnel in the fields after which police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Quetta .
The heirs of the deceased policemen reached the hospital after getting information of the incident and held strong protest demonstration against administration. The enraged protestors knocked down the glass panes of the emergency ward of BMC.
They demanded of the authorities to arrest the culprits as soon as possible and award them with exemplary punishment.
Over assurance of CCPO Quetta Abid Notikani the protestors ended the protest and dispersed.
The police registering a case against the unidentified murderers have started raids to arrest the culprits of the incident.INP
