KARACHI, Jan 16 : As many as three persons killed in various road mishaps in different localities of the city on Saturday.
According to police the first incident occurred at Super Highway near Buraq Petrol Pump when a speeding Shahzore truck crushed Badshah Khan 30 to death while he was crossing road.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Hospital through Chippa Ambulance for autopsy. He was stated to be resident of Al-Asif Square.
In Khyaban Itehad a speeding car ran over an unidentified person stated to be a labourer. His body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for autopsy from where it was shifted to Edhi mortuary.
The drivers responsible for both incidents managed to escape along with their vehicles.
Meanwhile, cleaner of a truck Zahid Shah 28, s/o Sher Gul was killed after being hit by a over head sign board near Karimabad Bridge when he was sitting on roof top of truck. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Chippa Ambulance. The deceased was stated to be belonging to NWFP.
The police have registered separate cases in all three incidents and investigations have been initiated. INP
