PESHAWAR, Jan 15 : Seven dead bodies were recovered from two different locations in Swat on Friday, while the security forces have arrested 22 suspected militants, official sources said.
Police sources said, five dead bodies were recovered from Zorakhor area in Akhurwal, who were killed by unidentified person and their bodies were dumped there.
Police believed the slain persons were militants who were killed by the local people. The ages of the deceased were between were 20 to 25 years.
“The dead bodies had multiple injuries and the bodies were dumped in Zorakhor area after killing them,” police sources said.
Police said one of the slain persons has been identified as IMran, who was a local commander of the militants.
Moreover, two dead bodies of alleged militants were found from Khwazakhella area in Swat.
On the other hand, security forces have arrested as many as 22 suspected persons during search operatin from Mohmand Agency.
The arrested persons were shifted to undisclosed place for investigation.
Meanwhile, a bomb exploded near security forces convoy in tehsil Bara in Khyber Agency. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
