Settlers build new outpost, assault old man and teen

JERICHO,- A number of Jewish settlers built a new settlement outpost in Jericho district in protest over the Israeli government's decision to freeze settlement activity in the West Bank for ten months.

Hebrew daily Yediot Ahronot said on Wednesday that the outpost was built by a group of activists followers of the so-called youth for land of Israel.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that Jewish settlers attacked and beat up a 70-year-old man east of Qalqilia and a teen who was accompanying him.

Both were carried to hospital for treatment of severe bruises, the witnesses added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed a number of villages in Jenin district on Wednesday night and rounded up two young men.

In the Gaza Strip, IOF warplanes dropped tens of thousands of leaflets on Thursday calling on the citizens not to approach the security fence for a distance of 300 meters and warning them of cooperating with the resistance fighters. PIC
