A retired col. died after being hit by CS Punjab car

LAHORE, Jan 23 : A Retired Colonel of Pakistan army died after being hit by a car of Chief Secretary Punjab at Sarwar Road Lahore Cantonment area on Saturday.

According to details Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Mehmood who on his way to Lahore Airport in his government owned car bearing registration number LEG 7777 to welcome Premier Yousuf Raza Gilani when his car hit a motorbike driven by a Col. Retd. Muhammad Ikram at Sarwar Road injured him critically.

Ikram was immediately shifted to Combined Military Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Muhammad Azam, son of the deceased he was currently serving as visiting professor in Allama Iqbal Open University. The deceased left behind a widow, two daughters and two sons.

SP Cantt. Azfar Mahesar no one from deceased family has turned to police station to register case into the incident.
