LAHORE, Jan 15: Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed has blamed that provincial government of PML-N did not make necessary security arrangement during President Asif Ali Zardari visit to Lahore and he will demand CM Punjab for inquiry against the responsibles.
Talking to a private TV channel on Friday, Raja Riaz said that provincial government of the Punjab did not pay any heed towards suitable making security arrangements during President’s visit to Lahore which revealed its adversary towards Pakistan People Party (PPP) and its Co-chairman.
He claimed that Punjab government was informed on Jan 11 about President Zardari’s visit to Punjab but it turned dead ear regarding provision of security to him in accordance with his official protocol.
Commenting over Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah’s statements, he said that his blames were baseless and out of context.
Raja Riaz said he would consult Sharif brothers over PML-N leadership irresponsible and baseless statements which would widen the gapes between two parties further.
He said that those who misinterpreted President Zardari’s speeches wanted to derail democracy for fulfilling their personal interests.
The Minister said that those blaming the PPP to be Kings party should realize the former President General Ziaul Haq dictatorial era when PML was a King party, and it called the former dictator to address the Punjab Assembly.INP
