Kazmi rejects calls for dialogue with Taliban

ISLAMABAD, Jan 1 : Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi has dispelled calls for dialogue with Taliban. Talking to a private news channel he said that Taliban are involved in the killing, of innocent people and security personnel therefore there is no question of talking with such people. He said that rather government always offered Taliban to lay down their arms as precondition for dialogue.
He said that terrorism activities against innocent people and state of Pakistan are un-Islamic. He said that Taliban should follow democratic procedure to spread their message.

He said that Taliban should take lead from their supporters and it is fact that their supporters -are’ part of democratic process while Taliban are trying to disseminate, their message through gun.

He appreciated the sacrifices laid down by common people and security forces in the face of terrorism and said that time will show that these sacrifices -will not go in vain.

He hoped that defeat-is the destiny of Taliban.
