Alan Abu-Nadjma was arrested in a sting operation on Dec. 30 after allegedly stealing an expensive motorbike and later blackmailing the owner, who arrived at a planned exchange with undercover police officers, Israel's Haaretz reported.
Tel Aviv's Yarkon District police station was raided in connection with the allegations and ten officers were arrested and questioned, Haaretz said, adding four of the ten were remanded for furhter investigation.
Last year two border police officers were arrested for beating an Arab resident of East Jerusalem in a cemetery after they stopped him for questioning.
The officers were accused of hitting the Palestinian man with clubs and guns and punching and kicking him, the paper said.
