ISLAMABAD, Jan. 1 - At least five people were killed in a remote-controlled bomb blast in northwest Pakistan's tribal area Friday, local TV channel reported.
A roadside bomb planted in tehsil Salarzai of Bajaur Agency was exploded when a car passed by the area, killing five people, the private channel reported.
A tribal chief Sardar Malik Gul Shali was among the deceased. The car has been completely destroyed in the blast, the channel said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area. Political administration has confirmed the killing of five people.
