Balochistan Police protest for not increasing salaries, stage sit-in at CM House

QUETTA, Jan 25: Officials of the Balochistan Police Monday held a strong protest demonstration for not increasing their salaries, and forcibly entered in the CM House where they staged a protest sit-in for their demands.

According to details, the officials of the Balochistan Police held a protest demonstration from Police Line for not increasing their salaries. They also burnt tyres and blocked the roads. The under training graduates of the police from Police Training College Saryab Road also joined the protest demonstration which reached CM House.

The police officials managed to enter the CM House were their staged a sit-in and also broke the windowpanes of some of the rooms of the CM House.

On this occasion, the protesting police officials were holding arms and also carried out aerial firing to disperse the media persons who were covering their demonstration. Some of the police personnel snatched cameras from the journalists and broke them besides torturing the journalists.

Later, the Secretary Home Balochistan Akbar Hussain Durrani reached the spot and assured the protesting police officials for increase in their salaries.

The Balochistan Police officials were demanding to equal their salaries to the Punjab Police and also ensuring provision of compensation to the heirs of those police officials who lost their lives or injured in terror incidents.
