MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 16 : At least three security personnel were killed and seven others sustained injuries as suicide bomber attacked their vehicle here in Rawalakot area located in Azad Kashmir on Saturday morning.
According to details, the vehicle was traveling through the Dothaan area to Rawalakot when the suicide bomber on pedestrian hit the vehicle, as a result, seven security personnel were seriously injured who later were shifted to Combined Military Hospital Rawalakot.
The hospital sources said that three security personnel succumbed their injured in hospital and four others were stated to be in critical injured.
SSP Rawalakot Sajjad Hassan told the media persons that the suicide attack was carried out in Dothan area located 15 kilometers away Rawalakot, targeting a vehicle of security personnel.
He said that police had collected body parts of the bomber for further investigation.
He said the explosion left partial damages to vehicle and two security men were also sustained injuries in the incident, the injured were rushed to CMH for medical attainment.
The head and other body parts of suicide bomber have been identified meanwhile, police and other security officials have cordoned off the blast site, he confirmed.
Rescue and relief teams took part in relief operation after reaching the spot.
The sound of the explosion was heard in several adjacent areas, eyewitness said.
