KHUZDAR, Jan 15 : At least two students were killed and four others sustained injuries as security personnel opened fire at Balochistan Students Organization (BSO) rally in Khuzdar on Friday.
The protest rally was organized by BSO (Azad) in the city to record protest against ruthless target killing incidents of Baloch people in Karachi and proposed operation in Lyari area.
The law enforcement agencies including FC and police tried to stop the students to hold rally which enraged the students and they chanted slogans against the government.
The security forces personnel resorted to firing and tear gas shells to disperse the charged students, however, two of them were killed and four others were injured on the spot.
The BSO blamed that FC personnel opened fire at their peaceful rally, however, the Inspector General FC Major General Salim Nawaz termed reports of FC firing on BSO rally as wrong and baseless saying that neither FC was deployed at the rally nor it opened fire.
On the other hand, Senator Mir Hasil Bizinjo of National Party said that three students were killed in the FC firing on a peaceful rally of the BSO, which was held to protest target killing of Baloch people in Karachi .
Meanwhile, the citizens of Khuzdar also expressed their anger and grave concern over killing of innocent students and said that security forces personnel first tried to stop a peaceful rally held in national interest. However, the FC opened fire at students without any justification.
They also demanded of the government to take immediate notice of the incident and responsible should be brought to justice. The locals also appealed the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the killing of innocent students in the incident.INP
