PESHAWAR,: As many as 15-ambulances were formally delivered to strengthen health care institutions, especially the agency headquarters hospitals and rural health centers of certain areas of FATA at Governor's House, Peshawar on Thursday.
The NWFP Governor, Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani formally delivered the keys of the vehicles to the Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Mr. Habibullah Khan which have been provided by Japan International Cooperation Agency and are fully equipped with latest health care facilities. The ambulance, it was told on this occasion, are meant for FR Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber and Orakzai agencies to further augment and improve existing health facilities and referral services for the people of the> respective areas.
Provision of ambulances, it was told on this occasion are the part of a comprehensive health package under the JAICA programme; a gift from the people of Japan which envisaged US $ 2660000/-. INP
