British Government condemns Karachi bombings

LONDON, Feb 06 - The British Government has condemned Friday’s bombings in Karachi which claimed at least 25 lives and left as many 50 injured and said the attacks underline the need for Pakistan to maintain its strong stance against terrorism.

A statement issued by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said:

“We condemn today’s deadly bomb attacks in Karachi, and express our sympathies and condolences to the victims and their families. The appalling events in Karachi on Friday, which follow the fatal attacks there little over a month ago, underline the need for Pakistan to maintain its strong stance against terrorism. The UK will continue to support Pakistan in tackling this threat.”
